Admit it; you’ve dreamed of pepper-spraying your mother-in-law but whilst you’ve kept your vengeful fantasies at bay, a man from Valladolid did exactly that.

Yes, a 38-year-old man sprayed his in-laws, and for good measure, hit them with a telescopic truncheon… and they were not happy.

So, how did this unlikely scenario come about, you might well ask. Well, it was in a pub, owned by the aggressor, where the parents of his 19-year-old common-law wife had entered to berate him over his relationship with their daughter.

So, there they all were in the midst of a heated argument when the son-in-law went nuclear and set about his in-laws with his “wayward-client, beating stick.” It was nine in the evening.

Now, also present was the father-in-law’s brother, who was not exactly left out of the truncheon entitlement, either. The mother-in-law, however, was reserved for the pepper-spray, so whilst the aggressor was busily hitting the two men with one hand, he was also deftly spraying the mother-in-law – who says that men can’t multi task?

At some point they all stopped for a rest and the in-laws left for the hospital; the men to receive stitches and the mother-in-law to treat her transformed, Marty Feldman eyes. They did also just happen to mention what had happened to the police.

He was charged with actual bodily harm and possession of an illegal weapon.

So, what did the daughter make of all this? She told the police that it was her parents’ fault as they had caused the fight. Her hubby had merely defended himself.
