Good News for Car Owners

MOT police station OnLA 37-year-old man was arrested in Motril, caught in the act of breaking into a parked car – well, he wouldn’t be breaking into a moving one, unless it was via the radiator at high speed, admittedly.

Anyway… the suspect, who sports a criminal record, has been charged with damaging at least four vehicles, not including the one that he was caught trying to force open… allegedly.

His arrest was thanks to a call from a local to say what was happening, so a patrol car was sent to investigate.

When the man spotted the police, he ran off but didn’t get far. He was brought back to the scene, whilst the vehicle was inspected. The lock on the hatch-back door had been forced and the parcel shelf ripped out.

They then also looked around nearby parked cars and found evidence of the man’s alleged handiwork. He was then driven back to the station to be charged.

Editorial comment: Gleeful news for local car owners though rather disappointing for the arrested man. No doubt he will be out practicing his art form within a few days, pending trial, bless him.
