Around midday on, Saturday the 2nd, locals reported a burning, rubbish hopper in Almuñécar and a fire engine dispatched.

The hopper was situated on Calle Guadix – that’s the one leading from where Radiovision was down to the beach, running alongside Rio Seco.

Apart from the intense smoke and the strong smell of burning plastic, as well as a highly annoyed rubbish hopper, no other damages or inconveniences were caused.

Police suspect vandalism rather than natural causes.
