The Ministry of the Interior has awarded the Plata al Mérito Policial to a policeman who was knocked down and killed whilst on duty.

Officer Reyes Rubio died attempting to go to the aid of the victims of a car crash on the autovía between Málaga and Torremolinos on the evening of the 29th of November last year.

The award will mean that the policeman’s family will receive a monthly pension.
