A mother and her 4-year-old daughter were attacked by their own dogs on Friday the 17th in the town of El Casar in the province of Guadalajara.

It was at 16.16h when emergency 112 service received a call to say that two Rottweilers had savaged their 38-year-old owner at the Ubanización Colinas in the said province.

The victims were taken to Hospital General Universitario de Guadalajara where they were treated for bites; the child on the back and buttocks and the mother had “significant head injuries,” as well as bite marks on her face and arms.

The child is not said to be in danger but the mother is expected to have surgery to deal with the injury to her head.
