Drug smugglers rammed a stolen 4×4 loaded with petrol cans into a surveillance radar in the province of Cádiz.
The south coast has a chain of such radar/infrared stations, called SIVE, which make it almost impossible for anything to cross the Med without being located and subsequently intercepted.
Consequently, they are often targets for sabotage, as was the case at the beginning of the month.
In the meantime, mobile units will take up the workload of the damaged station until it has been repaired.
SIVE stands for Sistema Integral de Vigilancia Español.
