A 41-year-old mother in Sevilla will appear in court, accused of photographing her daughters of 15, 8 and 7 in the nude to sell the images on the Internet.

The mother, who allegedly beat the girls if they did not comply, told them that they needed the money in order to eat.

The situation was reported to the police back in September by the eldest of the girls (fifteen), as well as by the ex-partner of the woman.

The eldest daughter was also used to meet up with ‘buyers’ and collect the money – one of the said buyers has been arrested and charged with crimes against personal freedom and sexual identity.

The 15-year-old told the police how, over the previous four years, her mother had been photographing her and her two sisters of seven and eight, as well as the 8-year-old niece of her lover, in sexually suggestive poses, sometimes with with a baby’s dummy and pigtails.

At first, says the daughter, the mother told them that it was a sort of casting for clothes and that she had to send the agency photos of them nude and in underwear so that they could see “what size they were.” Later on the daughter realised that the mother was selling them using a specialised ‘contact’ webpage.

When the girl made her statement before the police she handed over a mobile telephone and laptop containing photographs of her and her sisters.

The arrest was finally made on the 15th of October and the magistrate placed a court order forbidding the mother from coming within a certain distance of the girls.

From that moment on the police concentrated on tracing the buyers, using information given by the eldest daughter. On the 22nd of October the police arrested the 49-year-old man who had bought most of the photos.

The buyer did not attempt to commit any physical abuses on the girl when she was sent to meet up with him to collect the money, but he did suggest having sexual intercourse in exchange for more money, according to the girl’s statement.
