The site of Motril’s new bus station saw the visit of a few big-wigs this week, to be shown around the 80%-finished structure.
Yes, work now involves plastering the building, putting a roof over the platform area and the finishing touches to the access/exit roads, pedestrian exterior areas and green areas etc.
Work began in January and it is hoped to be finished in December, according to one Junta official.
So where is it? It’s situated in the El Vadillo area on the outskirts of the town; just off the autovía junction, in fact. The station will give service both to inter-city lines as well as purely municipal ones.
Editorial comment: although we are grateful for the press releases from the town halls along the coast, it would be nice, just once, to have a photo of the location in question, rather than a bunch of politicians standing around smiling.
