Restaurante El Conjuro in Calahonda was the winner of the I Concurso de Gastronomía y Showcooking.
The event, which took place this past weekend (17th/18th) was organized by the Motril Town Hall using EU funding (FEDER) and held in the Centro de Desarrollo Turístico in Motril.
A total of twenty eating establishments participated along the Costa Tropical, all producing excellent tapas using local produce.
It was a close-run thing but in the end El Conjuro walked away with the First Prize. In second plae was Stilo Costa in Motril and De la Flor in Almuñécar (that’s Paco, the son, from the old Mesón Muralla).
Other popular participants were Los Faroles, Club Náutico and Chiringuito Alonso.
