LIMDECO, The publicly owned cleaning company in Motril has completed the beach clean-up after the rains and gales.

Between three and five workers have been constantly occupied with removing the cane and other vegetation washed down the ramblas onto the beaches.

The Vice Mayor calculates that around 180,000 kilos of refuse has been collected and disposed of, the majority of which was vegetation.

With Autumn arriving tomorrow, locals and visitors alike lap up the last of the beach weather before the sea temperatures drop.
