Around 2,500 people turned out for the La Herradura Puppet Festival, which was held during four days at the beginning of the month.

This year’s festival was the 16th edition and like all those before it, was held in the Plaza de la Independencia.

The closing show was put on by La Carreta Teatro, who staged a children’s play entitled Fabularia – it was packed out with kiddies and their parents, as was the previous evening’s performance, Violeta la Rateta.

It certainly made a change to get the little ones away from computers and tablets and enjoy an age-old style of entertainment.
