Work on Calle Fragata, in the Barrio Espinar area of La Herradura, is drawing to a conclusion. There are a few remaining paving bricks to be laid and the odd manhole/inspection cover to be set.
The street now has its rainwater-drainage system in place and all the wiring for Endesa and Telefónica is safely laid below the surface of the ‘pleased-looking’ street.
Councillor Ruiz Joya has apologized for the inconveniences caused during the lengthy street work.
It was a bit tricky to get the steps to coincide with the houses on this hillside street, whilst at the same time eliminating the rest of the steps to make it accessible for those with mobility problems.
Well, there you go, Calle Fragata is finished and a long life to all who sail in her, not that anybody outside Barrio Espinar is interested, mind.
