Wednesday the 20th saw the accidental death of a British woman when she was run over by a delivery lorry at around 11.30h.

The accident took place at the Avenida de Salobreña end of the Paseo de las Explanadas.

The lorry, from a brewery, knocked over and killed the 65-year-old woman, who was a resident of Nerja, she was out walking with her dog at the time of the incident. He was reversing in a pedestrian area with access for delivery lorries

Some eyewitnesses say that the woman had fallen over and was on the ground when the rear wheel passed over her.
