Motril Centre Roadworks

MOT Calle Párroco Martín SierraThe Mayor has been around to visit the roadworks going on in Calle Párroco Martín Sierra, which is the one that connects Plaza de la Aurora to Calle Princesa.

The work has a budget of 62,000 euros and consists of the habitual rain-drain system – the said street doesn’t have any. This semi-pedestrian street will also get new lighting.

The work is a bit complicated because the telephone-exchange building is there, so there are a lot of important cables running under the street just begging to be chopped by a JCB shovel.

The Councillor for Public Works said that the work “could” be concluded by summer.

The finished street will have flower gardens/planters and a brickwork surface, or flat, rectangular cobblestones, if you prefer.

Loading/unloading areas will be placed at the beginning of the Rambla de Capuchinos.
