Over the next few weeks, personnel from Seguridad Social will giving advice to citizens on Internet access to public administrations.
The idea is to cut out lost days physically making your way to the local offices of Seguridad Social in Motril, for example, or Granada, in the case of Tráfico.
Those that attend the Town Hall to inquire will be given document explaining the conditions attached using the online service, as well as be assigned ‘activation code,’ so that the user can choose their own password.
Obviously, you will need to bring along certain documents to prove who you are, etc. You’ll need your Spanish ID documents (and your passport, in the case of the Brits, who don’t have national ID cards). You’ll also need a mobile telephone and a valid email address. The whole procedure should only take five minutes.
Francisco Clemente, an expert from Calidad y Comunicación de la Tesorería de la Seguridad Social in Motril, explained, “You’ll be able to carry out a full range of things, such as consult your labour records, SS contributions and a a record of each time you signed on and off of Seguridad Social.”
