Motril Port police arrested a Moroccan man, resident of Charleroi, Belgium, for being in possession of a stolen car.
The incident occurred on the 1st of March as the car was passing customs control prior to boarding the North-African bound ferry.
The car had temporary Dutch plates, which the Guardia Civil decided to run through the computer after detecting anomalies in the car’s paperwork
The Dutch authorities confirmed that the car had never been registered in the Netherlands, thus confirming that the paperwork was forged.
The 44-year-old man was promptly arrested and the car impounded.
