Staff from the Almuñécar Town Hall received a chat from the Provincial bigwig of that entity. And it means good news for you…
The said gentleman, Sr. Fuentes Jódar (Motrileños will have fun with that surname) explained that the new INSS web page entitled: Tu Seguridad Social, will come online in June and will give users direct access to their own personal information.
This means that you won’t have to make your way from La Herradura, for instance, to Motril and join a queue to obtain it.
So, you can see all the information that Seguridad Social has on you, as well as download certificates and other documents from them.
And you wont need a certificado digital (digital signature) to enter the website, but can do so with a personalised password. How do you obtain the password? You’d probably have to go to Motril…
But there is further good news involved because other administrations will be joining Seguridad Social for online accessibility: Hacienda, Tráfico and the unemployment Agency (Empleo).
Editorial comment: A good move, without doubt! Can’t wait until June to find out that my NIE is not valid, as the computer programmer only thought to include the correct amount of digit boxes for a normal NIF, which is my case when trying to enter the present Tráfico website to find out how many points I have left on my licence.
