Motril will be turning green, and it’s not from envy but because they will be celebrating Saint Patrick’s Day there.
The Fiesta de Irlanda will be held on the Plaza de la Coronación on the 17th… naturally.
The event is organized by the Escuela Oficial de Idiomas de Motril and will have plenty of Irish music throbbing out as well as Keltic dances.
There will even be workshops for Saint Patrick’s make up a – we weren’t aware that he wore it, but then again…
It’s open to the public and entrance is free and the only thing that they ask of you is to wear green and black.
The live music will be performed by Masque and Wild Cats, starting at 17.00h on the big day. There will be more from 20.00h in Bar Gambrinus, which is on Calle Narciso Gonzalez Cervera, right in front of the Cerro de la Virgen.
Local businesses, such as Maderas Román and Justur Viajes are sponsoring the fiesta.
