The new parking area in Barrio de Cerrillo in Motril is near completion, informed the Mayor, Luisa García Chamorro.

It was not just a case of tarmacking over the piece of land, but of also sorting out the flooding problem, which often converted it into mud and puddles.

The Mayor assured that this week (first week of March) the final touches would be made; i.e., painting in the parking spaces and erecting three street lights.

The work had a budget of 116,000 euros for this 1,500 sq/m plot of public land.
