There was a fire in Motril this morning (Tue/3rd) in a warehouse on the Las Algaidas trading estate. The fire service was alerted at 10.45h and by 13.00h it had been extinguished.

The said warehouse is only 50 metres from the cellulose factory; i.e., in front of the Comotrans yard.

A heavy urban fire engine was used along with a smaller rural one, together with nine personnel.

The fire appears to have begun amongst a pile of wooden crates outside the warehouse. The building doesn’t appear to be frequently used and nobody was hurt.
