The Thursday film at the Almuñécar Casa de la Cultura this week will be screened at 19.30h and not 19.00h as is usual.
The film is entitled Birdman, which is a black comedy that won the Best Film and Best Director awards at the recent Oscars.
It stars Michael Keaton with a supporting cast of Zach Galifianakis, Edward Norton, Andrea Riseborough, Amy Ryan, Emma Stone and Naomi Watts.
The story follows a faded Hollywood actor, (Keaton) famous for his role as superhero Birdman, as he struggles to mount a Broadway adaptation of a short story.

Well, this was the information that was sent to us, as it is every week, by a Gazette reader and as the English-language films are shown on Thursdays, we are equally surprised to learn that it was shown on a Wednesday.

I’m very glad to find the upcoming English weekly films are published on the Seaside Gazette site. Imagine my disappointment when I went on Thursday evening to see Birdman at the Casa de Cultura only to discover that it had been shown on WEDNESDAY! Since it was in the Gazette as the Thursday film for the week, I had no reason to believe it would have been shown on Wednesday instead. I was so sad to have missed it.
