Lawyer Charged for Bawling Out Policemen

A lawyer in Granada thought it a good wheeze to berate two policemen over their fining the driver of the car in which she was travelling.

The police had come across a car boisterously parked in a bus lane in the middle of Granada, which perked up their day, obviously, but they hadn’t counted on the lady in the passenger seat. It was Christmas Day, it wasn’t to be merry!

Not only did she insult them roundly – allegedly – but she also screwed up the fine and threw it out of the window – wicked.

And things deteriorated from there, because the two, plainly outgunned, policemen called in reinforcements.

Now with safety in numbers, they arrested the lawyer – gingerly, admittedly, as she was now reportedly resorting to physical aggression, but arrested she was and whisked off to the police station.

Now, obstruction of a bus lane will cost her 200 euros but the resisting arrest and contempt of authority (pointing out a policeman’s sexual inclinations & inadequacies, perhaps) could mean a non-optional stay in alternative accommodation.

Well, she could always defend herself at the trial, but it might be a good idea to kit the prosecutor and judge out with a set of American-football body armour…. just saying!
