The Almuñécar main church was packed for the Christmas Carols performance, provided by the Banda Municipal and the Escuela de Música de Almuñécar.
The youngest members opened the concert with Coro Semicorcheas, Vuela, vuela and Mi burrito Sabanero conducted by Soledad Aguado, María del Mar Domínguez and Juan María García.
The second part comprised of the Coro Juvenil, Coro Voces del Mar and the Coro de Voces Blancas, who sang the Christmas Suite (Robert Shaw y R. Russel Bennet), with soloist performances by Anaví Fernández (soprano) and Soledad Aguado (contralto).
The concert concluded with an impressive ovation for the participants.
Sad you missed it? Well, you will have another opportunity on the 18th at 20.00h, but this time the Christmas performance will be provided by the Coro de Juventudes Musicales de Almuñécar, conducted by Pablo Guerrero.
You will also have more opportunities to see the Municipal Brass Band on the 19th and 29th of December starting at 19.00h, when there will the traditional Christmas Parade, starting at the Municipal Market and wending its way around the town’s main streets.
Finally, on the 4th of January, the band will deliver its New Year’s performance at the Centro Cívico in La Herradura.
