The Policia Nacional in the city of Granada arrested a man who had allegedly mugged two Canadian tourists using a bicycle seat as a weapon.

The 18-year-old, alleged thief accosted the Canadian couple along Calle Arabial one Saturday at four in the morning.

Fortunately there were two policeman nearby on patrol who, more or less, witnessed what was happening, so they moved in and chased the thief as he ran off.

They did catch up with him, however, and upon searching him found the couple’s stolen possessions. The Canucks, on the other hand, were taken to the Urgencias at the Gran Capitan medical centre where their cuts and bruises were treated.
