According to the Almuñécar PA (Benavides party) the residents of the Cuesta de Fray Leopoldo in La Herradura are not happy with First Councillor Ruiz Joya.
Apparently, they have been hounding the Town Hall to do up the access for their street, but to no avail.
“It’s intolerable that the only work that they have carried out is to put down two breeze blocks at the top of the street, which instead of helping is actually hindering,” claimed Encarnación López, who is the party coordinator.
She concluded with, “Ruiz Joya couldn’t have even visited the area because they have put a bollard at the top to stop vehicle access, which in the case of an emergency would prevent an ambulance having access to the houses there.”
So there you go, here we were stating that La Herradura must have been completely rebuilt from scratch, judging by all the press releases on street improvements over the last couple of years and it turns out that one street at least is heaving with discontent!
