Worten Now Open

MOT Worten OnLThe Mayor of Motril, Luisa García Chamorro, cut the inauguration ribbon to the first Worten shop in the province of Granada.

The inaugural event was held on the 30th of July, but there were people queueing from the night before because the shop was exchanging five euro notes for 50 euro ones for the first 200 customers. Mind you, the 50 euro notes could only be used in the shop, naturally.

There were 250 disappointed customers because a total of 450 people had spent the night camped outside… silly buggers.

The Mayor was a happy bunny because with the opening of this white-goods store, 26 previously unemployed citizens of Motril now have jobs.

The Worten premises will shortly be joined by ten other businesses in this new shopping centre, situated between the gasoline station and Sprinter.

Well, that’s enough free publicity for Worten, especially as we didn’t get a fiver swapped for a 50-euro note *Sniff*!
