If you want to take part in the Romería de San Cayetano (Motril) then you had better get your name down for it.

The romeria takes place on the 6th of August and a bus will leave from outside the municipal tourist office at 20.00h on the 6th. The bus will take all those that have put their names down to the starting point, which is La Garnatilla.

From this hamlet participants will make their way on foot to Jolúcar, where thousands of participants gather each year.

So, who do you have to approach to get registered as a participant? The Áreas de Igualdad de Oportunidades y Cooperación, is the answer, which can be found on Calle Río Ebro Nº 8, 1º A, or Relaciones con los Ciudadanos in the Plaza de la Libertad.

So, there you go – if you want a bit of healthy exercise and like wandering around in the dark, this is just the ticket.
