If you have never seen the Peña Escrita mountain park, or haven’t been up there in a long time, then Sunday the 15th is your chance.

On that day, starting at 12.00h there will be a romeria, held next to the bar and swimming pool situated within the park. A romeria consists of plenty of Andalusian costumes, horse riders, sherry, guitars and plenty to eat.

The event, which is organized by the PA (Benavides) is now in its 17th year and should prove to be lots of fun, with food, drinks and a hair-raising drive back down.

Seriously, it is a chance to have a look around the park, and join in the party up there at the same time.
