Work is being carried out on the concrete path around to Playa El Muerto, between Cotobro and Marina del Este, Alumñécar.

Councillor for the Environment & Beaches, Luis Aragón, explained that the improvement work, which consists of replacing the fencing along the side of the path, is being carried out by a local company.

Along the first part of the footpath this will take the form of a chain and posts, whilst along the second part, the chain will be replaced by a metal cable, protected by a plastic cover. There will also be treated, wooden beams running between stone posts.

The work was necessary because there has been storm/wind damage to the path since last summer, which has caused deterioration to the existing railings as well as to the path itself.
