The IX Festival Aéreo Internacional de Motril will be held on Sunday the 22nd of June between Playa de Poniente and Playa Granada.
The Chairman of the Asociación Aeronáutica Andaluza Orión (AAAO), José Miguel Pérez Juárez announced that Spanish Air Force aerobatics team will participate, as well as the parachute team PAPEA, which is comprised of 14 men and women.
Also participating is the Jacob-52 civilian aerobatics, which is made up of six ex-military pilots with over 100,000 flying hours between them.
And it goes on with Gonzalo Figueroa flying his Bucker 1131 aerobatics aircraft, Vicente Barberá in his PITTS2B and Belgian pilot, Steven Van Wichelen flying a Super Decathlon.
There will even be a blimp bearing the logo of a well-known soft drinks label gracing the sky above the beach.
The Mayor of Motril, Sra. García Chamorro, explained that there would be related activities, such as an exhibition of artifacts and photos put on by the Spanish Air Force, which will be open for two weeks at the Sala del Almacén de Azúcar, from the 11th of June.
