The aim is to run the Barcelona Marathon on 16th March and the brave La Herradura ladies are: Laura Smith, Rose Lock, Sally Parkinson, Rachel Langley and Michelle Leach.

Month after month of training has brought the team up to marathon fitness and they are ready to go.

The charities being supported by the team are: Down’s Sydrome Association, Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research, Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund and Parkinson’s.

Anyone who has been involved in a marathon, or close to someone who has, will know the monumental effort required to even make the grade, let alone do the business on the day.

After the event, these crazy ladies will be hosting a celebration Charity Night (venue TBA), on the 22nd March, where raffle prizes will include: A Sunday Roast at La Tartana, two, 1-hour, sport-massage sessions from Kim Harwood and a night’s accommodation in a hotel in Frigiliana (name to be confirmed), and lots more!
