The 5th of November marked the 1st anniversary of the closure of the Almuñécar, municipal-market, underground parking.

According to a pressure group that claims that it speaks in the name of the stall holders, considers that the Mayor’s decision “provoked ruin, not only for the majority of the businesses in the market but also for other businesses in the area.”

The spokespeople for this pressure group (plataforma), Javier González Hurtado de Mendoza and Antonio Callejón Blanco announced that they were are organizing an ‘awareness campaign,’ distributing flyers, in order to demand that the local council contributes solutions to the problem.
