Rain-drainage pipes are being laid along Calle Bermudas in La Herradura, together with sewage pipes – shaken but not stirred, hopefully.
The First Councillor for the village, Juan José Ruiz Joya, announced that this narrow street will also be re-tarmacked.
It’s the access lane for the said barrio (Bermudas), which is made up of about a dozen dwellings, connecting with the paseo beach road,” he explained, adding that to date every time it rains, it floods.
The Councillor said that, barring setbacks – unheard of in these latitudes – it should all be finished within two months.
