Maintenance Work on the Cerro Gordo side of La Herradura

Carmenes del Mar might be slipping down the hillside, but that hasn’t stopped the municipal maintenance workers cleaning up its entrance.

Work has been carried out on both the main entrance to Carmenes del Mar and Las Palomas, informed the First Councillor for La Herradura, Juan José Ruiz Joya, pointing out that this task was just part of the general push to clean up the villages access lanes, such as the old main road, Camino Real, Camino del Cementerio, and Cañada Real.

Recently, the access lanes for Pago de Guerra and La Mezquita have also been completely cleared of excess vegetation, etc.

“This week, we’re working on Cerro Gordo where we will also clean up other areas apart from the principal road between the beach and the N-340,” said the councillor. As can be seen in the photo, the fearless workers have been working their way up from the beach.
