It seems that everyone is pushing photography along the Costa Tropical these days! Motril Youth Centre has proudly opened the 5th Annual Photograph and picture competition with more than 40 participants promoting equality through art. The exhibition is in Motril until the 11th October.
Local politicians and institutional representatives (Mancomunidad, for example, assists people to make their way back into the workforce after extended periods of unemployment) have applauded this event as a vehicle to provide citizens with an equal opportunity to express themselves, no matter what their status, age or sex.
And just when you thought the camera could be put away, Salobreña Tourist office is seeking contributions for its first ever Photographic competition to commemorate the International Day of Tourism.
Focusing (ha ha!) on the theme, Tourism and Water; Protect Our Common Future, photos should contain some reference to water in our area, whether it involves using this precious water sensibly, stunning views of the area, or something more creatively related to the theme.
Applicants are asked to make submissions by email on firstname.lastname@example.org to the Office before the 25th September. Please include your name, the title of the photo, as well as the place and date it was taken.
