A man will stand before a judge for allegedly swindling 300 people in an alleged time share scam, most of whom were British citizens.

The sting, involving time share units being sold in Fuengirola, was carried out by 18 people belonging to two organizations or gangs.

However, since the scam came to light, one has since died and seven did not turn up at the first hearing in 2010. The others accepted their culpability during the 2010 trial.

The man who is facing trial now is one of the seven that did not turn up as ordered for the first trial.
