Salobrena’s New Phone App

As part of its ‘online business’ the internet provider Guadalinfo has launched an app for mobiles that provides a local business guide.

The phone app, available for Android operating systems, links users to the web pages of Salobreña businesses that have them, and all the contact info for those that don’t.

“We’re working towards having an AppStore and Market Place available, said the spokeswoman for Centro Guadalinfo, Maribel Ruiz.

The project has been possible thanks to the collaboration of the Salobreña Town Hall and the Provincial Council, as well as the Junta de Andalucía.

The project is ideal for those local business which have still not taken the step to find a space on the Internet. Registering your business details with this directory is completely free and is also obligation free, explained Maribel Ruiz.

Within this project, Guadalinfo aims to give basic English courses to local business so that they can operate with between 30 and 40 basic phrases in English, which will come in handy when dealing with foreign customers.

The Chairman of the Asociación de Comerciantes ACESA, José Casas, expressed his satisfaction thus: “It’s a very practical tool, which as well as helping us, allows us to be ‘visible on the net so that possible customers can find us more easily and chose Salobreña as a tourist destination.”
