Three members of the same family were hit by a motorbike as they walked along the N-340 where it runs between Carchuna and Calahonda.

The accident, which occurred on the night of Saturday the 27th of last month, left the 43-year-old woman hospitalized in the ICU of Motril hospital with serious injuries. All told the accident produced four injured persons; the bike rider and the three pedestrians.

The other two family members, the 38-year-old father and his 9-year-old son, were also taken to the said hospital but have since been allowed home.

The bike rider, on the other hand, was transferred up to the main provincial hospital in the city of Granada, where he was put under observation with head injuries.

The accident occurred between Carchuna and Calahonda, in front of Urbanización La Perla de Andalucía at 22.30h.
