An elderly lady in Nerja has registered a complaint at the municipal, citizens advice bureau after she was billed 1,028 euros for just one phone call.
The unlikely phone call was made, according to the Vodaphone phone company, on the 2nd of March to a 902 number, used by a TV shopping channel.
Whilst the lady concerned recognised that she did make a call to that number on that day, it did not last 35 hours, but just a couple of minutes, she insists.
The Nerja Town Hall is attempting to intervene on the 78-year-old woman’s behalf, who is a pensioner and who is in no way able to pay for this surprising 2,098-minute call.
