The Nerja Councillor, Nieves Atencia, has announced that the access lane for Fuente del Esparto will not be closed to the public this summer.

This move, of course, is related to the management concession of Casa de los Mineros and the picnic area of El Pinarillo – no private company would take them on if there were no vehicle access during the high season.

However, the Regional Department for Farming, Fishing and the Environment will have a barrier in place at the beginning of La Civila access lane.
