The Clínicas Rincón company has decided upon Torre del Mar to build a private hospital of 100 beds.
The project will be carried out in stages and entails an investment of 10-million euros, explained the owner of the company, who is an ex-councillor, Manuel Rincón Granados.
Although the company recently acquired the old Imperial summer, open-air cinema, right in the middle of Torre del Mar with the idea of building a 25-bed hospital, the plot “does not fit with the new project that we are defining,” he explained.
The concept is now more ambitious, counting on 100 beds, as well as three operating theatres and an investigation area dedicated to personalized medicine, equipped with a ‘genetic laboratory.’
“We also want the hospital to have a nursing school, for which we are holding talks with the Universidad de Málaga“, explained Sr. Rincón.
