The workers union for the Guardia Civil, the AUGC, will be compensating policemen who refuse to complete a monthly fining quota.

The Asociacion Unificada de la Guardia Civil announced that it has already provided ‘solidarity euros,’ to a guardsman in Granada who failed to fulfill his quota. It is the intention of the AUGC that this support be extended to all guardsmen in the traffic sector who refuse to fine for the sake of fining because it is being turned into an excuse to rake in revenue for the Government.

Guardsmen who do not fill their quota receive a pay cut to their monthly salary, in other words, they either go all out to fine for whatever reason and thus increment the flow of money to the Government, or they themselves end up losing part of their salary to the Government.
