The Chamber Choir of the Juventudes Musicales de Almuñécar is proud to announce not one, but two concerts scheduled for the month of March.

The first concert, at 8:30pm on Saturday 9th March, will take place in Granada at the Iglesia de Perpetuo Socorro. Part of the Winter Choral Festival of Granada, this concert will feature three choirs performing a brilliant selection of music. And with Almuñécar’s own JJMM Choir singing an impressive variety of songs from Henry Purcell, through to George Gershwin and Wolfgang Mozart, (just to name a few), you’re bound to enjoy the evening!

And if that wasn’t enough to stimulate the senses, the very same Chamber Choir from Almuñécar will join in all the solemnity of Semana Santa in Almuñécar with a stirring rendition of Rheinberger’s Stabat Mater, together with Henry Purcell’s Funeral of Queen Mary.

For anyone who has ever experienced the mystery and solemnity of this unique time of year here, you will appreciate how appropriate these emotional selections will be. Please join us for this special occasion in the Casa de la Cultura at 8pm on Saturday 23rd March.
