The Mayor of Nerja has carried out a meeting with the Minister of the Environment and the head of the construction company which will build the projected sewage treatment plant.

According to the Mayor, José Alberto Armijo, the three parties agreed on the route map that will have the installation completed on the projected day.

The first milestone will be the 12th of March when the definitive construction project has to be presented. This date is important because back on the 12th of December, UTE Corsan-Corviam-Isolux was awarded the contract, which stipulated that the company had three months to present the definitive project.

The Major also announced that an expert from the Ministry will be based in Nerja to oversee the project.
