Lunch Dear?

The good old US of A throws us a veritable barrel full of bizarre and weird news on a monthly basis. This one, whilst bizarre in the extreme, is also a very sad story.

A 68-year-old man called Frederick Hengl was arrested in Oceanside, San Diego, recently and charged with the murder of his wife. His arrest took place in a local bar, as police had just been to his house after reports of a disgusting smell emanating from the premises. On climbing through a window, the first officer on the scene found several body parts cooking on the stove and a severed head in the freezer.

The victim, 73-year-old Anna Faris, is believed to have been killed sometime in November… although the authorities have yet to discover how she died. So murder might just be a little bit premature. Although there were numerous bits of bone lying around the house, along with a saw, meat grinder and other butchery type implements. However, despite the cooking parts and the butchery, there was no evidence of cannibalism.

Erick Chavez, a neighbour, told the local press that the stench from the house became unbearable after someone placed a fan in a window at the premises. Police were called after the smell had been lingering for about a week.
