Alan M.D. has been sentenced to 19 years in prison for the murder of his ex-girlfriend on the 29th of May 2009. The man, who resides in Orihuela (Alicante), stabbed her to death, inflicting 47 knife wounds.

The man, who underwent a trial by jury, which is relatively new in Spain, murdered her when she went around to his house to ask him to stop harassing her; something that he had been doing since they broke up several days earlier.
