The Nerja Caves is offering free admittance to residents of Nerja every Sunday morning of the year. You only have to show a documents that proves that you are a resident: your DNI if you are Spanish or you empadronado certificate if you are a foreigner to enjoy this offer.
To celebrate this initiative, the Fundación Cueva de Nerja has organised a series of concerts for this Spring, beginning on the 27th of this month. The concerts will be performed twice, so that as many people as possible get to see them: one at 11.00h and the other at 13.00h.
The unbeatable venue is the Sala de la Cascada, where the Festival Internacional de Música y Danza is held each July with this coming one being the 53rd.
The Orquesta de Cámara Villa de Nerja will be performing the concerts, offering the following programme: Giovanni Benedetto Platti’s Concert for the Oboe en in Gm; Antonio Vivaldi’s Concert for Two Violins and Johann Sebastian Bach’s Concert for the Oboe and Violin in Dm, which can also be heard on Sundays the 3rd and 10th of June.
The chamber orchestra is formed by David Luguna on the Oboe, Jorge Lu, Sara Muñoz, Raúl César López & Elena Ruiz on the Violins, Helena Fernández on the Viola and Virgilio Meléndez on the Cello. the chamber orchestra will have a wind section included for the concert on Sunday the 17th of June.
