New Toy For the Boys…

The First Councillor for La Herradura, Juan José Ruiz Joya, can be seen here proudly showing off the Department of Maintenance’s brand new, open-back van, acquired for the bargain price of 14,000 euros… Crisis, what crisis?

“With this vehicle we will be able to cover a good part of the maintenance work for La Herradura, given its characteristics, because as well as having small dimensions for getting around the old town, it has a tip capacity giving it more versatility,” he explained.

So it’s a goodbye to the old, village, 2-stroke dumper, which has been chuntering around for the last 25 years. Sr Ruiz says that it was continually breaking down, making it expensive to operate. Can’t see the new van being around in 25 years, mind.
