News from the Nerja branch of The Royal British Legion that the 2009 annual Poppy Appeal, which this year targeted support for the wounded and bereaved of the conflict in Afghanistan, raised over €13,500 in our region alone.
There are regular lunch meetings each month at the Restaurante Peña Parda in La Herradura (€12.50 per head), and at the Hotel Al Ándalus in Maro (€16 per head including welcome drinks and tapas).
