The Organising Committee for Alpujarra Traditional Music Festival have got their heads together for the first time, with the object of working out who is who in the organisation and what the base for the 29th annual event, which will be held in Almócita on August the 8th.
An interesting point included is the possibility of small grants for folk groups that participate, to cover travelling expenses etc, ranging from 60 to 300 euros.
The judges’ panel will be selected this month, whose task it will be to award twelve prizes of 450 euros to the musical competition winners. So, now you know; it would be a waste of time considering bribes for more than that sum.
